Rick Moranis works in a flower shop on skid row and has a crush on Ellen Greene. He then finds an unusual plant that turns into a man eating plant. This is the film version of a stage musical and an improvement on the b/w version. The dialogue and lyrics are corny, but the giant plant is impressive. Rick Moranis gives a good performance in the lead role, but Steve Martin gives the memorable performance as the dentist.
